In the spring of 2002, after making sure my two daughters, Beka and Bethany were napping, and tapping my son Caleb's bouncy seat with my foot to keep him happy, I signed up for my first "serious" work at home business. I was excited, sure of my success, open to learning and desperate to replace my teaching income so I could become a "stay at home mom".
One year later, I was frustrated, in debt, and ready to quit. I had made a commitment to my husband and myself and I knew that within myself I had the power to make anything I did a success. The question was, did I have the right tool to accomplish this?
The one gift of this expensive learning experience is that I hooked up with two online marketing experts. I learned the power of the Internet and the tools to make it work for me, through Search Engines, Forums, Message Boards, and Online Advertising.
I call that year my "expensive learning experience". The education I received was invaluable and is what has helped me achieve the success and fun that I have experienced with my current company. My team is growing daily! I am excited to share with you that I really do know what I am talking about; 98% of my team found me ONLINE!
I live in an area not friendly towards Network Marketing or open to new and innovative ideas. I vowed never to pressure my friends and family to join an opportunity. Many of them still have no idea what I do. Those that do, are my best customers.
I don't advocate burning bridges behind you yet I have learned that working a business with "one foot in and one foot out" only causes stress and frustration. I had to make a commitment and create a mindset of working one business until it helped me achieve my goals and created the vision my husband and I have for our family.
